At London Vet Specialists, our Oncology Service is dedicated to providing advanced, individualised cancer care for pets and their families. We understand that a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and our experienced team is here to guide both owners and referring vets through every step of the journey, from diagnosis to treatment and ongoing support.
Our specialised Oncology Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) work closely with our Oncology Specialists, combining advanced nursing skills, exceptional clinical knowledge, and compassion to deliver outstanding patient support and continuity.
Our state-of-the-art oncology suite is designed to deliver the highest standard of care in a calm and supportive environment. We treat all forms of cancer and tailor each treatment plan to the unique needs of our patients.
We accept referrals for all aspects of veterinary oncology and for all types of tumours. Our services include:
- Investigation and diagnosis
- Clinical staging to assess disease extent
- Guidance and counselling on treatment options and prognosis
- Chemotherapy, including advanced agents and tailored protocols
- Surgical oncology, in collaboration with our specialist soft tissue surgery team
- Advice and support with radiation therapy planning, including referral to trusted external centres
- Access to novel therapies such as immunotherapy, tyrosine kinase inhibitors and metronomic chemotherapy
- Palliative treatment and pain management
We take a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to cancer care. We also offer rapid diagnostics, including in-house cytology, and advanced imaging modalities including CT scan, MRI and ultrasound.
For referring vets, we are committed to strong partnerships and clear communication. We encourage shared case management and are always happy to provide advice or assist with the ongoing care of mutual patients. Our oncology team is available for case discussions and remote consultations when in-person visits are not possible.
