We are proud to be an accredited dog-friendly clinic, assessed by Dogs Trust and the British Veterinary Behaviour Association (BVBA), as a guarantee of our commitment to our canine patients.
We train all of our team members to understand canine behaviour and low stress handling techniques to ensure that our patients are looked after in every aspect of their wellbeing.

As a dog-friendly clinic, our facilities include:
- A dog specific waiting area, with private booths for more anxious dogs.
- A range of treats available for dogs where feeding is appropriate.
- Pheromone diffusers to promote feelings of calmness for dogs.
- Range of kennel sizes including walk in kennels, all with soft beddings and orthopaedic padding available and dog park stations for patients that prefer not to be kennelled.
- Weighing scales built in at floor level with non slip mats.
- Enrichment plans for hospitalised dogs.
- We have nominated dog advocates within our team, Jess Atkins, Dante Munro, Rowan Hall and Jodie Henry. Within our team, we have colleagues who have pursued additional study and qualifications in canine specific veterinary care. These colleagues provide training and support for the rest of the team and ensure that we are upholding the values and ways of working that come with a being gold standard accredited hospital.
“I am really pleased that we have been recognised by Dogs Trust as a dog-friendly practice. I have drawn on my knowledge from my behaviour qualifications to ensure that we are able to offer the lowest-stress hospital visits possible for our canine patients. This scheme by Dogs Trust has provided us with a framework to be able to ensure our team are trained to understand dog behaviour, that we can cater to their species-specific needs and create an environment that benefits the patients, their carers and our team.”
