At London Vet Specialists, we are committed to advancing veterinary medicine through the delivery of exceptional specialist care for patients with neurological disorders. Our dedicated neurology team works closely with referring veterinary surgeons to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-focused care, supported by state-of-the-art facilities.
We are proud to be the only specialist neurology team in central London with on-site MRI and CT imaging.
This allows us to deliver rapid, accurate diagnoses and seamless care. Working collaboratively with other specialist services within the hospital, we manage both routine and emergency neurological cases, ensuring every patient benefits from an individualised and coordinated investigative and treatment journey.
Supporting our referring veterinary colleagues is central to what we do. We offer a responsive telephone and email advice service, alongside prompt consultations, to assist with the diagnosis and management of even the most complex neurological cases.
Our diagnostic services include:
- MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging): Advanced imaging to evaluate the brain and spinal cord, enabling accurate diagnosis of structural disease and informed treatment planning.
- CT (Computed Tomography): Rapid assessment of bony structures, ideal for identifying conditions such as spinal fractures, and facilitating the creation of 3D-printed, patient-specific surgical guides when required.
- Electrodiagnostics: Assessment of peripheral nerve function and neuromuscular communication to aid in diagnosing neuromuscular disorders.
- CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid) Analysis: Evaluation of the environment surrounding the brain and spinal cord to help diagnose or rule out inflammatory and infectious conditions.
Through clear communication and a collaborative approach, we ensure you are kept fully informed at every stage of your patient’s journey.
You can rely on us for detailed reporting, continuity of care, and ongoing support- even after your patient has been discharged.
