Soula qualified with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Science from the University of Bristol in 2015. Following graduation, she moved to New Zealand for a year and worked in a small animal veterinary practice that specialised in dental surgery. She moved back to London in 2017, and worked as the theatre veterinary nurse at the Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital for 5 years, where she gained a passion for anaesthesia and analgesic techniques. Soula has spent the past 4 years working as a locum veterinary nurse in first opinion practices throughout Sussex, Surrey and London.
Soula has a particular interest in working/teaching in charity veterinary clinics abroad, and has volunteered in multiple countries including Malawi, Fiji, South Africa, Seychelles, Thailand, Romania, Carriacou and Ukraine.
Outside of work Soula’s hobbies include Ballroom & Latin Dancing, swimming, scuba diving and the occasional runclub! Soula often visits her family home in rural Sussex where she has a menagerie of rescue animals including a 60 year-old Tortoise called Marge, Crouch the rabbit, and a very lazy cat called Fatcat.
Soula has also completed a certificate in Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, an Advanced Programme Veterinary Nursing of Zoo Animals, and the WSAVA Certificate in Pain Management.
