Laura, originally from Galway, Ireland, completed her veterinary degree at University College Dublin in 2013. Her path to becoming a specialist in veterinary care began with a discipline-specific internship in small animal internal medicine in 2014. She remained at the University Veterinary Hospital in Dublin to complete a four-year residency in internal medicine and a postgraduate doctorate program at University College Dublin, where she was awarded the European Diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2018, followed by a Doctorate of Specialisation in 2019.

After relocating to the United Kingdom, Laura joined the internal medicine team at Willows Veterinary Referrals, where she led the radioactive iodine unit for treating hyperthyroid cats. In 2022, she moved to London to become Head of Internal Medicine at London Vet Specialists. In 2023, driven by her passion for teaching, she became the Intern Director at London Vet Specialists, overseeing a team of eight interns.

Laura’s specialty interests include geriatric feline medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and endoscopic procedures. She is dedicated to providing exemplary patient care, with a strong emphasis on continuity and reassurance for pet owners.

Laura has embraced life in London, enjoying the city alongside her dog, Bisous, who accompanies her to work every day. Outside of her work with animals, Laura enjoys painting, traveling, and shopping.
