Dr Lister graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019 and began her career in small animal practice. A growing interest in chronic pain management led her to undertake rotating and anaesthesia internships at Davies Veterinary Specialists in 2021. She went on to complete her anaesthesia residency at the University of Edinburgh in 2025.
Dr Lister’s clinical interests include chronic pain management, animal welfare, and complex anaesthetic cases. She particularly enjoys working on challenging soft tissue surgeries and cardiac interventions.
She says her most rewarding cases are those where effective pain control transforms a patient’s recovery and overall hospital experience.
“Effective pain management doesn’t just improve recovery — it completely changes how patients experience hospitalisation. Seeing them leave comfortable and stress-free is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.”
