Dr George Smith

George graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016, having previously completed a BSc in Microbiology at Imperial College London.
After several years in first opinion practice, he undertook a rotating internship at the RVC, followed by a four-year residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Glasgow, which he completed in 2024. Following completion of his residency, George worked as a Staff Clinician at Glasgow before joining London Vet Specialists.
George’s clinical interests include haematological and immune-mediated disease, as well as infectious disease. He also has a keen interest in interventional procedures and enjoys the technical aspects of internal medicine.
Outside of work, George enjoys exploring London’s coffee scene, playing hockey, and is looking forward to settling into life in the city with his growing family, including his cat, Violet.
