Shannon began working as a veterinary nurse in late 2019 in rural Australia before moving to the UK in 2020.

For two years following, she worked in a busy 24-hour hospital in North London, where she developed a keen interest in theatre management and emergency anaesthesia. This interest led Shannon to undertake a certificate in Emergency & Critical Care, completing this in 2024. While completing her certificate, Shannon began working in a busy referral hospital in the orthopaedic department, moving into the Orthopaedic Team Leader role in 2024. Shannon’s interests remain in theatre management and emergency anaesthesia, with heavy interest in soft tissue emergency work and veterinary staff welfare.

In 2022, Shannon brought her Australian Kelpie, Charlie, to the UK. He enjoys terrorising her herbs and long walks, no matter the weather. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys travelling and reading.
