At LVS, our team will be on hand Monday-Friday to support and advise remotely or help facilitate transfer to our new and expanding multi-disciplinary clinic in Hammersmith.
London Vet Specialists is very excited to be able to offer this gateway for your pet to access our clinical team’s knowledge and facilities with the addition of our ECC Department.
As an ER Gateway, we are keen to offer your vets a direct route of communication for case advice and patient transfer/ referral. ECC Services come hand-in-hand with 24/7 inpatient care and we are proud to able to have facilities which allow us to bring continuous care from admission to discharge for all of our patients. A vet will be on premises 24/7.

Sadly, ECC Services see a patient population who can be critically ill/ suffering life-threatening injury. Our team focuses on providing both your vet and your family with empathy through challenging times. We recognise the importance of transparency with compassion for all. Not all patients can come to a referral centre for many reasons; we are very happy to advise remotely if your referring vet needs support with stabilisation/ decision-making in those scenarios for no fee. Pet welfare is at the heart of what we do and we take duty of care seriously for all pets in our area.
The team
Helen Kirkpatrick is leading the new ECC Service. She brings a wealth of experience from both a busy ER and referral ICU centre. Helen has a patient- and family-centred approach to veterinary care. A clinical approach must be tailored to both the individual patient and their family and this is at the heart of our duty to all pets, families and our referring vets. The LVS team and facilities have been designed and recruited to look after the people so they can look after your pet to the best of their ability and knowledge.
